The Penn State Justice Center for Research invites applications for a Managing Director.
Carrying out research in Criminology and assisting local, state, federal and international communities with Criminal Justice-related research and policy decisions are the goals of the new Penn State Justice Center for Research.
The Managing Director will report to the Director and be responsible for developing and implementing new initiatives, projects and proposals, supervising ongoing initiatives and representing the Director in various capacities, with Faculty, students, Staff and the public. Further duties involve oversight of communications, publications and publicity and grant writing.
The specialty area is open, but priority will be given to those who have experience in sponsored research and/or a research focus in policing, drugs or gangs.
Priority will be given to candidates who have completed their Ph.D.s.

The position is a full-time, fixed-term appointment.
The initial appointment is for two years, with opportunities for renewal.
