The Georgetown University Department of Psychology is seeking to fill a position for a Full Professor of Teaching (full time, non-tenure line) in the area of Social/Personality Psychology for a five-year period beginning Fall 2018, with the possibility of renewal depending upon performance and departmental need. Teaching load will be 5 courses per year and will include teaching General Psychology and introductory and specialty courses in Social/Personality Psychology. In addition, the individual will serve as Director of Undergraduate Studies, overseeing programmatic activities such as setting the course schedule and advising and mentoring of undergraduate students.

The Georgetown University Department of Psychology offers an undergraduate major in psychology, and also hosts an undergraduate Honors Program. In addition, the College of Arts and Sciences is newly introducing a course of study leading to an undergraduate minor in education. At the graduate level, the Department hosts a program leading to the Ph.D. in Psychology with a concentration either in Lifespan Cognitive Neuroscience or in Human Development and Public Policy. Qualifications required include Ph.D. in relevant area of Psychology, at least 15 years of college-level teaching experience, evidence of excellence in teaching such as honors and awards, and student course evaluations. In addition, experience with curriculum planning and student advising is required. Research involvement is welcomed, but not required.
