Open positions for the following:

*Research Scholarships (2 PhD and 1 Masters by Research)

For the August 2018 intake, CFPR will offer scholarships for 2 PhD and 1 Masters (Research) students who intend to pursue research on the field of childhood development at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS). The successful candidates may be supervised by the project investigators and will have the opportunity to work with the project team on this large-scale project. Depending on the requirement of the subprojects, the scholars are expected to assist in fieldwork-related activities (panel surveys, interviews, focus group discussions, or experiments), data processing, analysis, manuscript writing, and other tasks relevant to the project. Aside from research-related activities, scholars are also required to perform Teaching Assistant (TA) duties.

More information about the PhD and Masters programmes can be found here : Applicants must be university graduates with at least second-class honours (upper division) degree or equivalent and at the time of the award of the Research Scholarship, must have applied for and had been assured of admission as a PhD OR Masters candidate to the Faculty. Application for admission to the programme of choice and the Research Scholarship can be done simultaneously.

Selected students can be based in any of the 17 Departments/Programmes at the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences at NUS. Preference will be given to those who pursue programs in Sociology, Economics, Psychology, Geography, Social Work, Communications and New Media.

There is no restriction on the nationality of applicants.
