The Department of Psychology at Morgan State University invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position beginning in the fall 2019. The Department particularly seeks individuals whose research and teaching background is in the area of Developmental Psychology, Applied Human Development, or Cognitive Development. The position includes teaching courses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Undergraduate courses include: General Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Scientific Methods, Cognitive Psychology, Psychology of the Exceptional Child, Death and Dying, Psychology of Aging, Experimental Psychology, Statistics, and Senior Thesis. Graduate courses include: Human Development and Human Learning. Responsibilities also include academic advisement of students, establishing a program of research with undergraduate and graduate students, and contribution to the department through research, publications, and service. Experience in developing and teaching on-line courses is a plus.
Applicants must have a PhD in psychology from an accredited institution of higher education. Preference will be given those with post-doctoral, teaching experiences, an established record of research, research funding, and a strong background in quantitative methods. All But Dissertation (ABD) candidates will be considered. Review of applications will continue until position is filled.
