Morehead State University, located in Morehead, Kentucky in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains, is recognized as one of the top public universities in the South by U.S.News & World Report. The Department of Psychology at Morehead State University is accepting applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position that begins in August 2018. We seek an individual with a specialization in any area of Behavioral Neuroscience (preclinical, developmental, cognitive, motivational, social, clinical, etc.).

Responsibilities: The incumbent will teach courses in both the undergraduate Neuroscience program and the undergraduate Psychology program. The successful candidate may also teach a neuroscience course in the graduate Clinical Psychology program. The teaching load is 3 to 4 courses per semester. Developing and maintaining an active research program involving students and participating in appropriate service activities are also required.

Qualifications: Applicants must have completed all requirements for the Ph.D. before August 2018. Must be qualified to teach introductory courses in the Neuroscience and Psychology programs, at least one higher level core course in each program, and specialized Neuroscience and/or Psychology courses in the individual’s area of expertise. Teaching experience in higher education and postdoctoral experience are preferred, but not necessary.
