Job Summary

The School of Management at the University of San Francisco seeks applicants in the field of public administration for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor starting Fall 2017. The School seeks applicants who are at the cutting edge of teaching and research in public administration.

Job Responsibilities

Applicants should be prepared to teach quantitative research methodology, as well as other courses. Possible areas of research include one or more of the following: housing policy, public economics, public management, health management, big data analytics, public policy design, implementation or evaluation. Applicants should be able to demonstrate potential for successfully teaching public administration courses, in class, and potentially on-line, as well as a developing research agenda.

Requirements

A successful candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications: (1) an earned doctorate, by the time of appointment, in public administration, public management or public policy, or closely related field (e.g., sociology, economics, political science, health management, organizational behavior); (2) an established or emerging research program in public administration; and (3) evidence of excellence in teaching public administration. The candidate will teach primarily in the MPA program. Scholarly and practice-oriented research is welcomed.
