Requirements

Associate Professor: A Doctorate (NQF level 10) in Policing or a relevant Doctorate in Law Enforcement with at least seven years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience with specialised knowledge and experience in specific areas of Police Leadership, Policing Organisation and advanced teaching and learning skills. Ability to teach at least three of the following areas: Police Leadership, Policing Organisation, Police Operations, Crime Investigation and Criminal Justice and to contribute to the Department’s graduate studies programme. Experience in designing under- and post-graduate curricula and lead research and development in the area of Police Studies and cognate research areas will be advantageous. Sound research experience including a minimum of ten peer-reviewed publications and supervision of at least three Master’s students.

GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lecturing, research, curriculum development, community service and administration.
