Under the direction of the Director of the Social Work program, the Fieldwork Manager exercises general management and supervision over the Social Work field program; manages fieldwork coordination of Social Work students; coordinates and provides training for field supervisors; participates in the development of goals, policies and procedures for Social Work field work; administers and interprets applicable federal and/or state laws and regulations, University policies and procedures and guidelines from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE); and does related work as required. The Fieldwork Manager may be required to teach two in-load courses per academic semester (spring and fall) in addition to assigned managerial duties and responsibilities. This position requires off-campus travel and a flexible schedule including occasional evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Master’s degree in Social Work; a minimum of two years of professional experience working in the field of Social Work; and license or eligibility for licensure as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of NJ required. Doctorate degree in Social Work and previous experience as a Director of Fieldwork Education is preferred. Candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to travel off-campus to fieldwork locations.
