The Department of Educational Psychology at the University of North Texas (UNT) seeks a senior lecturer with an established record of strength in teaching and service to support the Department’s academic, professional, and scholarly initiatives. This is a non-tenure track, multi-year appointment to start Fall 2018 and renewed annually pending satisfactory performance evaluation. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and background.
The position is for an applicant with a background in special education. The successful candidate will be expected to immediately contribute to the continued development and success of the department through teaching, mentoring and recruitment of students. Instructional roles include teaching undergraduate and possibly graduate level courses in special education. Educator Preparation Programs in the College of Education at the University of North Texas are accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation. All faculty can expect to include in their workload various duties and responsibilities necessary to comply with accreditation requirements. The successful candidate will also be expected to represent the discipline and department via committee participation and other relevant service activities.
