The College of Agriculture at the University of Kentucky is currently seeking an Assistant Professor within its department of Family Sciences.This is a twelve-month, tenure-track position in the regular title series. The candidate will teach 3-4 courses per year. The anticipated distribution of effort is approximately 40% teaching, 50% research, and 10% service.

The successful candidate will demonstrate expertise in consumer economics, personal finance, and financial counseling. Additionally, a successful candidate will be expected to develop and maintain a nationally recognized program of research that includes external funding and publish results in peer-reviewed journals; supervise theses and dissertations; participate in departmental and collegiate governance and professional organizations. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to a new major in Consumer Economics and Personal Finance (CEFP).

Family Sciences is a student-centered department that is one of three units in the School of Human Environmental Sciences within the College of Agriculture, Food, and Environment at the University of Kentucky.
