The Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) is the host for the Network of Excellence on Land Governance in Africa (NELGA). Therefore, we seek an experienced academic and researcher to support capacity development in Land Administration and Property Studies.

Requirements
Associate Professor: A Doctorate (NQF Level 10) in Property Studies, Real Estate, Finance and Investments, Portfolio Management or Markets and Construction Management with at least seven years of lecturing experience at tertiary education level and/or industry experience or an equivalent combination of relevant professional experience. Excellent English communication skills (oral and written). Proven competence in successful sourcing of research or project funding from third-party sources, successful initiation and management of research projects, curriculum development and strong management/organisational and mentorship skills. Competence to teach at both under- and post-graduate levels. Ability to engage in outreach and knowledge diffusion activities as well as support the capacity building actions in line with DLPS strategies. Competence to assume academic leadership, to establish professional networks, and to maintain links with industry, as well as experience in developing postgraduate programmes. Sound research profile including ten peer-reviewed journals/books/conference proceedings and successful supervision of at least three Master’s (research) students.

GENERAL FACULTY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lecturing, research, curriculum development, community service and administration.
