The Departments of Biology and Psychology welcome application for a full-time position that is joint between both departments, to begin Fall 2025. The candidate is expected to teach courses related to physiological psychology, in addition to introductory and methods courses in biology and psychology, and to develop new specialized topical course of interest. The candidate should be actively involved in a research program with interdisciplinary interests, and be committed to student research mentoring and training. An established record or potential for attracting research funding is desirable. The candidate would be expected to supervise undergraduate theses and Master's theses. One of the main roles of this joint departments position is to lead and promote new interdisciplinary research, curricular, and non-curricular collaborations between the two departments. The candidate will actively participate in service activities at the departmental, school, and university levels. Candidates with experience in and familiarity with the north American higher education system are preferred. The initial appointment of four years is renewable after successful review.
Job Requirements:
Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in biopsychology, cognitive science, neurosciences, or related discipline. Successful candidates should have an ongoing program of research and publication, and skills or potential in high quality teaching.
