Job Purpose
RIT Dubai is currently seeking applications from exceptional candidates for a faculty position in Psychology for Fall 2026. RIT Dubai is looking for a highly qualified, motivated, and enthusiastic individual. The successful candidate will be expected to hold a terminal degree in the field of Psychology, Neuroscience or similar, will have previous teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels and will have a strong demonstrated track record in scholarship and research with success in acquiring funding. The candidate will be expected to teach multiple courses in the Bachelor of Science in Psychology program including the following breadth courses, and either the clinical track courses or biopsychology track courses:
Breadth courses (all applicants must demonstrate the ability and willingness to teach some combination of these courses):
● Introduction to Psychology
● Personality Psychology
● Health Psychology
● Industrial/Organizational Psychology
● Positive Psychology
● Social Psychology
Biopsychology track and pre-track courses:
● Biopsychology
● Biological Basis of Mental Health
● Psychopharmacology
Clinical track and pre-track courses:
● Psychological Disorders
● Clinical Psychology
● Psychotherapy
Other courses:
● Research Methods in Psychology (I and II)
● Capstone proposal
● Senior Project
The successful candidate will be well-versed in current theories, research and applications within the relevant fields. The successful candidate will be expected to follow course outlines, develop all teaching and learning materials as well as assessments for each of their assigned courses.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION
● PhD in Psychology, Neuroscience or similar (e.g. PsyD) (near completion with previous teaching experience will be considered)
● Previous teaching experience in higher education
● Ability to teach across various courses
● Research experience and recent publications
● Industry experience relevant to the above course offering(s)
