The Political Science Department at the University of St. Thomas invites applications for a full-time limited-term position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin September 1, 2017.

We are seeking a political scientist with a specialization in American Politics and the ability to teach courses on Congress & the Presidency, Quantitative Research Methods, and our introductory course, American Government in Comparative Perspective. As part of our department's ongoing curricular revisions, this position allows for additional course development within a candidate's areas of expertise, such as Political Parties, Interest Group Politics, Media and Politics, or Environmental Policy. Limited-term faculty are appointed annually with a one-year contract which may be renewed a maximum of four times.

A PhD in political science is strongly preferred. Candidates who are ABD (who would be eligible for an initial rank of instructor) will be considered. All applicants must have demonstrable skills necessary for excellence in teaching.
