The School of Information Science in the College of Communication and Information at the University of Kentucky invites applications for a 1-year Assistant Professor position starting in August 2017.

Responsibilities include:
· Assisting with American Library Association accreditation review of the Masters of Science in Library Science
· Assisting with the implementation of the Masters of Science in Library Science revised core curriculum
· Conducting research
· Teaching 2 courses fall semester and 2 courses spring semester
· Serving on School and program committees

Requirements: PhD (or near completion) in Library Science or relevant field. Minimum 5 years professional library experience.

The College of Communication and Information offers undergraduate and/or graduate degrees in communication, integrated strategic communication, journalism, library science, information studies, information communication technology, and media arts. The College has an active research faculty with a consistent record of extramural funding and has been recognized for teaching excellence by the University.
