Position Summary

We are seeking a licensed PhD-level Psychologist to join our integrated healthcare team. The successful candidate will provide brief, targeted evidence-based psychological services within a collaborative, interdisciplinary healthcare environment, working alongside physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver holistic patient-centered care across the lifespan. For qualified candidates with interest, there are also opportunities to engage in research and teaching activities that complement clinical work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct brief screening (e.g., PHQ-9) and, for more complex patients, full-scale mental health assessments.
  • Collaborate with medical providers to develop comprehensive treatment plans and support high quality, effective, and coordinated service delivery at the patient and programmatic levels.
  • Deliver brief, goal-focused therapy using evidence-based strategies for common medical and mental health conditions, crises assessment, and referral triage in an outpatient setting.
  • Consult with healthcare team members regarding behavioral aspects of patient care.
  • Provide administrative oversight.
  • Implement population health strategies for screening and intervention.
  • Document clinical activities according to professional standards and organizational requirements.
  • Participate in case conferences and interdisciplinary treatment team meetings.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiates to enhance patient care outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a psychologist (or license-eligible) in NY.
  • Specialized training or experience in health psychology, behavioral medicine, or integrated care, including understanding of integrated care principles and population health management.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based psychological interventions (e.g., motivational interviewing, CBT, behavioral activation treatment, ACT/mindfulness, social support) for common medical and mental health conditions.
  • Experience with brief, goal-focused therapy models within an outpatient setting.
  • Strong understanding of the biopsychosocial model of health.
  • Excellence in interprofessional communication and collaboration.
  • Ability to summarize themes from multiple patient contacts and communicate suggested improvements for treatment delivery.
  • Ability to adopt a population health perspective emphasizing the therapeutic value of low intensity behavioral treatments.
  • Experience with electronic health records and healthcare information systems.
  • Familiarity with DSM/ICD Diagnosis Codes and healthcare reimbursement models, including value-based care.
  • Cultural competence and experience working with diverse and underserved/vulnerable populations.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Postdoctoral fellowship in integrated care, health psychology, or primary care psychology.
  • Experience working in medical settings.
  • Competency in specific evidence-based interventions (CBT, ACT, Motivational interviewing, etc.).
  • Experience with telehealth service delivery.
  • Background in quality improvement methodologies.


Physical Demands


Salary Range
$115,000 - $135,000
