The Project Coordinator will primarily serve as the Coordinator for an experiential learning laboratory (The Collaborative) at Kansas State University focused on delivering comprehensive, affordable, and quality dispute resolution services for families in transition. In this capacity, the Coordinator is responsible for handling all referrals/requests for domestic mediation services from the courts and community, conducting intake of clients, scheduling with lead and student co-mediators, maintaining all service and financial records, and collecting data for program evaluation.  The coordinator will also conduct mediations and mentor Kansas State University students in mediation sessions. 

Required Minimum Qualifications:
This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree (or work equivalent) in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum of 12 credit hours of conflict resolution training at the graduate level
Kansas State-Approved Mediator (or approval within next 2 months of hire date)
Master’s Degree in Human Services area (Social Sciences, Social Work, etc.)
Knowledge and experience working with military families
Experience with event coordination and planning
Public speaking and/or experience with marketing and working with the media
Ability to develop program evaluation measurement tools and to implement recommendations
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in grant proposal writing and submitting applications of grants
Experience in budget development, report writing, and contract work
Experience in collaborating and/or coordinating with multiple community agencies
Ability to work independently and as a team member to meet strategic goals
Evidence of technical capability using software related to project management and course development (Microsoft Access, Excel, Word, etc.).
